5e-compatible action fantasy. Our rules aren’t crunchy; they’re pulpy.

This is the official blog for Pulp Arcana, a tabletop role-playing game based on Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition.

I wrote this game because I’m as much of a power gamer as I am a storyteller. I’m frustrated with having to sacrifice theme for power or the other way around. This is a game where the best abilities look and feel like they do in the movies and comic books.

Playing tactically should make you feel like you’re the hero in a movie, not just like you’re good at the game.
